My Story of Loss, Struggle, and Hope
My journey has been filled with losses that changed my life forever. I lost both of my parents when I was still very young, at a time when I needed their love, guidance, and support the most.
When I was in 10th grade, my father was diagnosed with kidney cancer. Seeing him suffer was heartbreaking for our entire family. I was still a young student and could never have imagined that I would have to face such a painful reality so early in my life. After his illness, my father passed away. Losing him left a deep emptiness in my heart that I still carry with me.
I continued my education, trying to remain strong despite the pain. But after completing my FSC, I faced another devastating loss—my mother passed away due to diabetes. Losing my mother after already losing my father was a pain that words cannot truly express. Suddenly, I was left without both of the people who had been my greatest source of love and security.
Life became very difficult after their deaths. Continuing my education was not easy because there was no longer a parent to support my educational expenses. There were moments when I felt helpless and wondered how I would be able to continue studying. But somewhere inside me, I still had a small hope that education could change my life.
To support myself, I started tutoring young children at home and saved whatever I could for my education. I studied while carrying the pain of losing my parents and the responsibility of building my own future. There were difficult days when giving up seemed easier, but I kept reminding myself that my parents would have wanted me to continue.
With determination and the support of kind people who helped me along the way, I completed my BS in Political Science. Reaching this point was not simply an academic achievement for me—it was proof that even after losing so much, I could still keep moving forward.
Today, I dream of pursuing a Master's degree in Public Policy and building a meaningful career. I want my education to become a way of giving something back to society and creating a future that my parents would have been proud to see.
I do not have my parents beside me to celebrate my achievements or encourage me when the journey becomes difficult. But I carry their memories in my heart every day.
I have lost my parents, but I have not lost my dreams. I have struggled to come this far, and I only need a little support to take the next step. Your support would not simply help me pay for my education—it would help me continue a journey that I have fought very hard not to give up on.
I still believe that education can change my life. I just need someone to believe in my dream too.
